Author of The New Working Woman’s Revolution, The Modern RN’s Revolution and a number of books for women, and children, Dr. Cristina Carballo Perelman joined us on Books in Heinessight. Dr. Carballo Perelman found herself, after twenty years as a leading neonatal specialist and doctor, suddenly fired for reasons that had more to do with her identity as a woman in a male dominated field than anything. During the podcast, Dr. Carballo Perelman spoke of the culture of the medical field as well as the culture in which we live that relegates women to a secondary role. She also explains how she wrote her books to entertain, and educate across a number of corporate and educational settings. Listeners to the podcast will identify ways that they too can become empowered and united for equality.
